With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in AP Language so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

 Prompt: I think I have been doing absolutely amazing in ap lang so far, in fact I'm the top of my class in ap lang! I've been having an amazing year and I don't have any real concerns in all seriousness. I am excited to continue to go through my senior year with relative ease.

Reflection: I enjoy the focus on more diverse identities other than race.

Prompt: Write about an experience when someone assumed something about you because of a stereotype. What was the situation, and what did you do?

  Prompt Response:  An experience when someone assumed something about me because of stereotype is when I was first meeting my girlfriend. She thought because of my queer identity i didn't like women at all. This was clarified by me being being bisexual which means I'm not just attracted to men.  Summary: We did an assignment /notes about multicultural lit Reflection:  I enjoy the focus on more diverse identities other than race.

In “Missing Your People,” Tracy Brower explains the importance of belonging. Describe a time when you felt like you truly belonged. What created that feeling?

 Prompt: A time I felt like I belonged was when I was at a pre-college program for marine science. Having a bunch of people under a common interest really made me feel seen. I hope I can go to college there because the environment is very positive.   Summary: We worked on a common lit today due to you being absent :(.  Reflection: I enjoyed working on the common lit it was an interesting topic.
